About BCU’s High Achievers Recognition Scheme
The High Achievers Recognition Scheme is a program recognising the success of Health, Education, and Life Sciences students studying at Birmingham City University, offering high achieving learners tailored support and development opportunities to help them maximise their potential.
Why did they need a new website?

One of the only schemes of its kind in the UK, BCU’s HARS did not previously have an online presence of its own, and with the scheme growing, along with the popularity of High Achievers schemes nationally, it was decided that a separate website was needed to showcase the program and make the relevant information more accessible for all.

The site needed to be a platform of communication for students participating in the scheme, and one that possessed its own distinct look and personality whilst still incorporating the BCU branding.

The HARS staff were also looking for flexibility, requiring a professional website with maximum functionality that would allow them to fully manage the site and add events, calendars, guides, and more.

How have they benefitted from their itseeze website?

A visually engaging site with a professional feel, the new HARS website makes it easier than ever for staff to share relevant information with students. Participants can now also register for the scheme through the site, helping to simplify the registration process for staff by limiting it to a single point of communication, with the various contact forms on the site directing to different staff members in order to streamline admin.

Designed to promote the benefits of the scheme and to keep BCU students updated on all relevant information, the HARS website makes use of several optional extras, which help to further enhance the appearance and functionality of the site. These include a scrolling image banner, which adds a dynamic visual element and movement to the homepage; a variety of bespoke icons; multiple different contact forms; and an integrated Eventbrite feed, which displays all their current courses, interview days, talks, workshops, and more.
